I am holding her in the Light. And I'm grateful that Friends were there when you needed them, and that you knew you should reach out to them.Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02834181142086981320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10737238.post-43397523843307645812008-01-03T16:22:00.000-06:002008-01-03T16:22:00.000-06:00I meant to visit another Quaker Meeting while on v...I meant to visit another Quaker Meeting while on vacation, but the ones in Winchester, VA were confusing because they said "on some occasions" they held meeting at a different meetinghouse, and they never called me back to tell me which one they were going to. Since I was at the liberty of the non-Quaker friend I was visiting, I didn't want to drag him around to two different places. Oh well. Word of advice to other Meetinghouses: Schedules and calendars are good if you want to be accessible!Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03583539336418817798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10737238.post-32919923928195912582008-01-03T01:06:00.000-06:002008-01-03T01:06:00.000-06:00Liz, I hope she's feeling better soon. In fact, I first met Martin Kelley in person when our family traveled to NJ for a funeral, and we needed an afternoon outing. Martin and Julie graciously invited us over for our kids to play with their son and to chat and to worship a little together.

Best wishes for a happy New Year!

RobinRobin M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10336915224193704866noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10737238.post-60206722442794319522008-01-02T21:20:00.000-06:002008-01-02T21:20:00.000-06:00Liz, I hope your husband is better now.MaryMLiz, I hope your husband is better now.
MaryMAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10737238.post-977375296498290962007-12-29T10:59:00.000-06:002007-12-29T10:59:00.000-06:00i'm so glad you have that where you are. it's so ...i'm so glad you have that where you are. it's so important.

when things are going cockeyed for my friends over on livejournal, i tend to leave comments that say, "*hand squeeze*"-- which means just that there may not be words, but i'm sending whatever support i can from where i am. so... *hand squeeze*

<3cubbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01967417546891684102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10737238.post-17746586246067237082007-12-29T09:45:00.000-06:002007-12-29T09:45:00.000-06:00Liz, I shall pray. Even if we do not have personal history, our Quaker history seems to bind us and we find those who will sit with us and us while on the road.Peterson Toscanohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18189029949905668568noreply@blogger.com
